Arts and crafts...the same thing we used to call homemade. Things our mothers and grandmothers made for us were simply homemade and not always desirable when you wanted to make an impression. Today, homemade "arts and crafts" are all the rage. You have talents. Perhaps you have not yet discovered your talent, but it is there. With the economy, more and more stay-at-home moms and even those who have well paid jobs are turning crafts into a home business to supplement their income or even be their main source of income. These "just for a while" projects quite often turn into full-time businesses. You can start your own business right from your kitchen table or even your basement. Start small and GROW BIG. Anyone can do this...even you. Get started now and never say "I Can't">. For those of us who appreciate the beauty and effort put into handmade items, you might consider turning you're handmade items into your own arts and crafts home business. You choose the hours you work, what products to make and sell and the price at which to sell them.

• Making and selling homemade soaps, lotions, bath bombs etc. has been a very profitable at-home business for many.
• Do you love to sew? Someone good with a sewing machine, serger and/or embroidery machine will find lots of customers waiting to buy their handmade dresses and home items.
• Flea markets and garage sales provide access to some great furniture pieces that can be refinished or decorated with mosaics and these sell FAST! Lot of work, but so appealing and fun to make.
• Embroidery lends itself to many ready-made or commercial products...embroidery on hats, shirts, jackets, dresses and more for another at-home business endeavor.
